5. About the Academic Warning

A. Academic Warning: The term “Academic Warning,” is a status of academic probation given to students who do not meet minimum academic requirements in any given semester. Understandably, it sends a message of expectation for meeting academic standards of the University of Ulsan, and results in a need for students to respond by meeting the challenges in learning in a more productive way, working within the university’s support services, communicating and connecting with faculty and peer group counsellors.

B. Further Academic Probation: Expulsion

1) Getting three academic warnings in a row shall lead to expulsion. Expulsion is the termination of matriculated student status involving one year prohibition on enrolment and total prohibition on attendance at, or access to, the University and on any participation in regular or official university activities.

2) Students who got expelled can apply for readmission to study from one year later.

C. Restriction on Module Registration: In accordance with “Academic Regulations of the University of Ulsan”

- Article 57 (Academic Warning) Undergraduate students who have received an academic warning must participate in the academic counselling programmes operated by the Teaching and Learning Development Team by the next semester module registration; in case the students do not participate in the academic counselling, their module registration may be restricted
